Amla pickle

Amla pickle - Deepa Vikram Rao

Ingredients:
Amla(Gooseberry)-500gms(12-14nos)
Sesame Oil-1 cup
Yellow Mustard-4tbsp
Sesame-4tbsp
Salt-4tbsp
Red Degi Chilly Powder-4tbsp
Turmeric Powder-1tbsp
Hing-1/4tsp
Fenugreek Seeds-2tbsp
Method:
Wash Amla in water..dry completely till moisture evaporates.
Remove seeds from amla and cut into small pieces.
To make masala take a kadai add sesame seed and Lightly dry roast till it changes its color and
keep it aside.
Add fenugreek and lightly roast in sim for 1min.
Add yellow mustard to the same kadai and roast for 30secs and keep it aside.


Grind Sesame seeds into coarse paste..Do the same with fenugreek and yellow mustard.
Add oil in the kadai and fry alma till it becomes soft..Firstly,add hing to amla,then add salt
and turmeric powder to alma,mix well then add the ground masala along with chilly powder
and mix all well.Amla Pickle is ready to consume.
