Whole Green Gram Dal Makhani

Whole Green Gram Dal Makhani - Tanushree Aich
Recipe:
Soak one cup whole green gram overnight & pressure cook till lentils go softIn a wok take abt 3 tbspns butter, add finely chopped onions, saute till they go translucent
Now add 1 tbspoon grated ginger, stir
Now add coarsely crushed pepper pwdr, turmeric pwdr, cumin pwdr, red chilly pwdr & a slit green chilly
Stir in for a minute & add tomato puree
Once the masala leaves sides, add the boiled green gram with the cooking liquid, add salt
Bring to a boil, i prefer a thick consistency
Now add 1/4 cup fresh cream & sprinkle some garam masala. Simmer for a min
Garnish with chopped coriander lvs.
