Custard Powder Burfi

Custard Powder Burfi - Nutan Shenoy-Kini


Recipe:
I hv used 100 gms custard pwdr, abt 100+ gms of milkmaid n 1/2 glass milk. Mixed it well. Placed on low flame n kept stirring intermittently raising the flame fr a min or 2. Once the mixture thickened well, added a tbsp of ghee. Mixed well n let it boil stirring continuously till it became jelly like. Took it off flame. Poured it in a greased plate n cut into neat squares once it cooled. I hvnt added cardamom pwdr bcz both vanilla n cardamom r strong flavours n I feel they may not go well together. Opinions may vary. Adding cardamom pwdr is an individual choice.
