Dum Aloo

Dum Aloo - Nutan Shenoy-Kini

Recipe:
I skinned the potatoes n pricked them with toothpicks. In a kadhai, in a lil oil added jeera and allowed it to splutter.Added few curry leaves n sauted till texture changed. Added the potatoes pre-soaked in water. Added no water at all. Then added chilly pwdr turmeric pwdr n salt. Covered n let it cook on dum. Once done, added lot of lime juice, mixed n garnished with chopped cilantro. The pricked holes allow the masala to penetrate and when dum cooked it really tastes yum n so aromatic. Do try it. (Amma used to add hing too...I hvnt )
