OATS RAWA IDLI

OATS RAWA IDLI - Vidya Nayak Shenoy
Oats Surprise:

Instant Oats-1 cup,Roasted Sooji/semolina/rawa - 1/2 cup, Salt to taste 1/4 tsp. Yoghurt- 2 1/2 cup approx. Oregano- 1 tablsp, Haldi-(optional) -1/4 tsp, Eno Fruit Salt- 2 tsp, Grated Carrot-1, Chopped Capsicum-1/4 cup, Green chutney.
Method: 1. Roast Soji & Oats separately in a pan, stirring continuously.Cool , mix together.
2.Add salt,curd,oregano,haldi to the mixture to get a thick batter in light yellow colour.
3.Mix Eno fruit salt to the batter and transfer half the batter to a greased thali to get half inch thick layer.
4. Sprinkle most of the grated carrot and capsicum over it, keeping aside some for the top.
5.Then sprinkle some green chutney with a spoon all over the vegetables.
6. Pour the rest of the batter and top it with remaining vegetables.
7. Steam cook for 15 - 20 minutes.
8. Once done cut into triangles or square pieces and serve with green chutney.
You can also steam individually in Idli mould.
