Urad Dal Soppor Ghaari - Sobha P Shenoi
Recipe:
urad dal-2cups,
pepper crushed-2 tsps,
green chillies-3,
salt to taste,
hing powder-1/8tsp,
jeera-1tsp,
oil for frying and
curry leaves.
Method:
Soak dal for 2 hrs.
Remove water completely.Grind it in a mixer with chillies, curry leaves and jeera to a very course consistency. Add crushed pepper and salt to the ground mix. The batter should be thick and should be able to shape with hands.
Heat oil in a pan, make small balls(.balls can be uneven in shape) out of the batter and fry in oil, till crispy. Ghaari is ready.
