Wholemeal Loaf

Wholemeal Loaf - Vijaya Menon

Recipe:

3 cups plain flour 1 cup wholemeal, 1 1/2 tsp of yeast, sugar to taste, salt to taste, 2 cups of water, 4 tsps butter Take flour, wholemeal, yeast, sugar and salt and add water and knead. Add butter and knead a little. Keep in a large bowl covered for 1 hour. Taka a loaf tin and grease and dust it. Punch the dough back and knead a little and place into the loaf tin and spread it evenly. Keep covered for 30 min. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 175 deg C for 25 to 30 min till brown. Cool on a wire rack and slice the bread after its cool.
