Poori

Poori - Laxmi Bhandary

Ingredients: Wheat flour, 1 tsp sugar, crushed pepper corns 2 tsps, salt and oil for frying.


Method: Prepare dough for poori by adding together salt, sugar, crushed peppercorns, half cup of water & sufficient quantity of wheat flour & 1 tsp ghee. Knead well. To make d dough softer, a plantain can be mashed in it. Shape portions of d dough in to balls of the desired size. Dust them with wheat flour. Roll into pooris on an wooden board. Deep fry them in hot oil.
