Oats Dosa


Oats Dosa - Laxmi Bhandary

Ingredients: 

1 cup cooking oats,3/4 cup rice flour, 3/4 cup rava (or chiroti rava),1 onion finely chopped, 2 tosps curd/butter milk , 1 tsp ginger finely chopped, 3 green chillies finely chopped,1 tsp pepper corns,coarsely ground1 tsp cumin (jeera) seeds,1 sprig curry leaves chopped, few coriander leaves finely chopped, salt to taste and oil to roast dosas.

Method: 

Dry roast oats on low flame for 3-4 minutes,until they are slightly crisp. Cool it and powder it. Mix oats powder with rava,rice flour,curd and add 2 &1/2 cups of water to it and mix until no lumps are formed. The batter should be thin enough to pour it over the pan. Keep this aside for 10-15 minutes. Add finely chopped onion, ginger, salt, green chillies, coriander leaves, curry leaves, cumin seeds and crushed pepper corns. Now check the consistency of batter and add more water if required to get the pouring consistency. The consistency of batter should be very thin like how we do for rava dosa. Roast in both sides. Serve hot with coconut chutney/coriander
