Crab Masala - Nisha Baliga Shenoy
Ingredients!
1kg crabs
3 tbsp oil
3 onions
8 green chillies
1 grated coconut
1 cup tomato puree
2 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
1 tsp fennel seeds
10- 12 curry leaves
Bunch of corainder leaves
1/2 tsp turmeric pd
1 tsp chilli pd
1 tsp cumin pd
1 tsp coriander pd
METHOD
Clean and wash crabs n keep them separate.
Make a paste of Coconut fennel seeds green chilliea and onions .
Now in a kadai, heat oil, add the ginger garlic paste , fry well.add curry leaves saute.and then add the coconutpaste and fry till all the rawness is gone.
Add the remaining pds, and curry leaves and mix well.
Add tomato puree and cook for 2 minutes, add salt.
Now add the Crabs and mix well , take care to see that all the carbs r well coated with gravy .
dont add water as crabs have a tendency to leave water.
cook till done.
Serve with garnished coriander leaves.
Fennel seeds in this adds a distinguished flavour.
This goes well with rotis.
