PRAWNS KHALKHAL UPKARI

PRAWNS KHALKHAL UPKARI - Vidya Nayak Shenoy
( Recipe by Aruna Pai... but real treat was by her mom .. My Varada Pacchi..)

fry 2 handful of peeled garlic in oil till slight pink in color, then add 5 tsp of chilly pdr and fry for a while add thick tamarind pulp n salt n very little water n bring it to boil .. now add the cleaned prawns , cook till done.. the masala should be thick.. n V prefer to eat it next day.. ( I taste it just like the pickle as its very hot )..
