Roast 3/4 cup cup whole wheat atta in 1/4 cup hot ghee on low flame till the colour is almost golden brown.. n u get a nice aroma.. Took nearly 25 mins. for me..now add the cashews , n almond pieces fried in ghee.. add cardamom pd.. here I've added a pinch of turmeric pd.. to get the colour as I don't use any food colour.. Now switch off the gas.. At this time add 1/2 cup sugar syrup ( 1 string consistency ) n mix well.. SWITCH OFF the gas... when it becomes a mixture but still falls from the ladle.. spread on a greased thali n flatten it.. when lukewarm cut into desired shape..
