Tomato Dal

Tomato Dal - Rajashree Acharya Kamat
Recipe: 

I had yesterday's Dal Fry with me, about 1 bowl. So, I boiled 4 tomtoes with li'l tamarind & 3-4 pepper corns. Later this had to be converted into a puree, but luck did not favour me today (no electricity) & so I just mashed them. In a pan, heat abt 2 tsp oil & fry 1 chopped onion in it. Then add the dal & tomato puree & boil it.Add a few chopped coriander leaves for garnishing. Its ready to serve..
