Shevai

Shevai - Seema Mallya


Recipe:

Soak the 3 cup dosa rice (white rice) & 1/2cup boiled rice in water for 5hrs. Then adding 1 cup of coconut grated and salt. Grind it to a smooth paste. Its ok if the batter is watery. Now heat this batter in a nonstick pan keep mixing till all water evaporates and the dough becomes dry. Make the balls of the dough and steam them in steamer (pedavan) for 15mins. Take out the balls put them in press or pressing machine (danthe)apply some coconut oil tothe press before putting the dough. And press to make the shevayi.
