Potato Halwa


Potato Halwa - Nisha Baliga Shenoy

Ingredients:

1 cup grated potato
1/2 cup sugar
½ cup ghee
1 cup milk ( warm )
Dry fruits of ur choice
½ tsp cardamom

Method:

1. Heat some ghee in a thick bottom pan. Add the grated potato and fry well for 5 minutes.
2. Add ½ cup warm milk and let it cook .
3. Then add the sugar and cook stirring continuosly.
4. In between add warm milk and ghee as Potato tends to get burnt .
5. The halwa is ready when ghee leaves the sides of pan.This may take about 20 minutes( if the potato is old)
6. Now add cardamom pd and ghee fried dry fruits .
7. Relish warm.
