Palak Paneer - Seema Mallya
Ingredients:
500gm paneer cut into cubes
1 bunch fresh palak
2 green chilly 4-5 garlic pods
1/2inch ginger
2 small onion fine chopped
1 tometo fine chopped
1/2tbs garam masala powder
1/4tbs cinnamon powder
1-2tbs fresh cream(optional)
2 tbs ghee/butter
2tbs kasuri methi
Salt
Method:
* Clean & wash palak, put into boiling water with salt then cook for 10min. Let it cool & then grind into thick paste & keep it aside
* In a small jar grind red chilly, ginger garlic just to crush not to make fine paste.
* Heat ghee/ butter in pan on medium flame fry paneer in a single layer once they turns golden colour flip them over and & cook the other side for another minute remove them from the pan & keep it aside.
* Same pan again add little ghee/butter add finely chopped onion fry till brown add tomatos then greenchilly ginger garlic paste fry them for 5 min untill raw smell of ginger garlic paste disappears. Now add dry kasurimethi. Cinnamon powder, garam masala stir it for another 5 min.
* Now add palak puree, salt let it cook on medium flame
* Add paneer pieces and gently mix them so that the spices are evenly coated & then let it cook for another 5min
* Garnish with cream & while serving add butter cube.
