Homemade Cranberry Buns - Jyoti Nayak Kamath
Recipe:
Whole wheat flour 2 cups,plain flour 1/2 cup,salt 1 tsp,,1/2 tsp instant dry yeast,sugar 1tablespoon,olive oil/ butter for brushing,water 1.5 cup
Method: in warm water add the sugar,yeast,some oil ,mix till yeast dissolves and the moisture looks a bit frothy.In a large bowl add the flour and the salt after sieving it well,add the yeast mixture,add water to make a firm sticky dough,knead well and keep covered in a warm place,for an hour,punch the dough to remove the air bubbles and add the cranberry and mix it again and make the desired shape and put it on a tray and rest it for 30 mins.preheat the oven to 180 degrees centigrade and bake the buns for15-20 mins,remove the buns and brush it with butter / olive oil.
