Avrekalu(Hyacinth beans) Rice Bath - Kiranmayi Kamath
Recipe:
Cooked rice - 1 measure
Cooked hyacinth beans - 1 cup
mint leaves - a small bunch - washed and cleaned
ginger - 1/2" piece
garlic - 5 - 6 flakes
Green chillies - 4-5(increase or decrease the quantity according to the hotness u prefer)
Grated coconut - 3 tablespoons
Oil - 2 tbsp
1 medium sized Chopped onion
Method:
Grind the mint leaves, ginger, garlic, green chillies, grated coconut to a medium coarse paste.
Heat oil in a pan add chopped onion and saute it till it become transparent, add the ground masala fry it for some time til lthe raw smell is gone add cooked beans mix it well.Add salt to taste. Switch off gas and add cooked rice to this masala. Mix it well with a spoon. Serve hot with thick curds, or papad.
