Tingalavare Kotna

Tingalavare Kotna - Nisha Baliga Shenoy
Recipe:

1 cup Tingalavaro (Navy beans)
1tbsp grated coconut
2 red chilles
1 sprig curry leaves
1/4 tsp hing pd
1/4 mustard seeds
salt to taste
coconut oil or ghee to temper.
METHOD

Soak the beans overnite and pressure the next day till done.
Transfer it in a thick botton vessel
Add enuf water and salt to taste.
Bring this to a boil.add grated coconut.
In a small pan heat ghee or coconut oil.add the mustard seed, when it splutters add, the curry leaves .
Then red chillies and hing pd.
Temper this to the Curry.
Tingalavare Kotna is ready.
