Oats Idlis

Oats Idlis - Shobana Rao‎Ingredients:
•Oats 1 cup
•Medium Rava ( Semolina ) 1 cup
•Curds 2 cups
•Crushed Black Pepper 1/2 tsp
•Fruit salt 2 tsp
•Water 1 cup
•Salt, to taste
Method:
In a mixer, grind the oats to a powder
Mix this with the rava, curds, black pepper and salt
Add water to get a thick pouring consistency. Keep this batter aside for 5 minutes.
Add fruit salt to idli batter and mix well.
Pour into idli stand and steam for 10-12 minutes on medium flame.
Serve hot with chutney.
*The fruit salt helps to get a better batter. I use the Eno fruit salt now available in small sachets.
