Kesar Bhath

Kesar Bhath - Laxmi Bhandary


Ingredients:
1 pav basumati rice, 
1 pav sugar, 
half cup ghee, 
1 tsp cardamom powder, 
3 cloves, 
10-12 cashew nuts, 
1 pinch saffron
,a few raisins.

Method: 
Wash rice. Cook very moderately and keep aside. Roast cloves with a little ghee & crush them. Add water to sugar and heat till syrup is formed,  That can be drawn into long strings. Then add cardamom powder, saffron (mix in to little milk), raisins and cloves along with the cooked rice. Pour ghee. Turn over constantly, till ghee reappers on the sides of the vessel. Remove from flame.
