Home made pav


Home made pav - Vijaya Menon  


Recipe

2 tsps yeast, 5 cups maida, 21/2 cups water, 1 tbsp sugar, salt to taste, little melted butter. Take yeast and sugar in a bowl and add half a cup of warm water mix and set aside for 10 min till it froths. Take flour, add salt and add the yeast mix and the rest of the water and make a dough. Keep aside to rise for 1 hour. When risen knock back anc knead little and make balls and keep on a greased and dusted tray and keep for rising for 30 min. Brush the top with milk and bake in preheated oven at 190 deg C for 25 to 30 min till brown in colour. Brush with melted butter and let cool on the wire rack.
