Recipe:
DOSA RICE 1 1/2 PAV /CUPS ,
COCONUT GRATINGS - 1/2 COCONUT SMALL,
BREAD SLICES -2 WHITE BREAD ,(CUT IT INTO BITS )
BAKING SODA 1 TSP ,
SALT TO TASTE .
METHOD :
FIRST SOAK RICE FOR ABT 2 HRS..
DRAIN OFF EXCESS WATER AND GRIND IT IN THE MIXIE JAR TOGHTER WITH CUT
BREAD SLICES AND COCONUT GRATINGS TO A FINE PASTE ...ADD LIL WATER ..
THE BATTER WILL LOOK LIKE NEER DOSA BATTER ..(BUT THICKER )
FERMENT THIS OVERNIGHT FOR ABT 8 - 10 HRS ...
NEXT MORNING JUS BEFORE SERVING TIME ADD 1 TSP OF BAKING SODA TO IT ..
CHECK FOR THE BATTER CONSISTENCY ....THE BATTER SHOULD B OF MEDIUM POURING CONSISTENCY ,LIL THICKER THAN NEER DOSA (PAAN POLO) ,
NOW TAKE A APPAM TAWA OR REGULAR CHAPATHI TAWA WITH LIL DEPRESSION IN CENTRE ,
HEAT THE TAWA WELL AND DAB SOME OIL TO IT
NOW POUR A LADDLE FULL OF BATTER AND SPREAD IT LIKE A SMALL DOSA .. THICK IN CENTRE AND THINNER ON THE EDGES...
POUR LIL OIL OVER THE DOSA AND CLOSE THE LID... LET THE FLAME B MED LOW ...
DONT TURN THE DOSA UPSIDE DOWN .. ROAST ONLY ON ONE SIDE ..
