Bannale Roti

Bannale Roti - Nisha Baliga Shenoy

How to make Bannale Roti...(Randap korya ve?) Lets make Baanale Roti (Avarekalu Akki Roti on Baanale (kadai) )
Avarekalu akki roti (Banale roti)
2 cups Rice flour
1/2 cup shelled and deskined , boiled Avarekalu
2 tsp chopped coriander leaves.
1 tsp chopped green chillies
1 cup grated carrots
1 tsp jeera
1/2 cup onion chopped
salt to taste
oil

Method :-

1. Mix the above ingredients without water into a dough like chappati dough.
2.If it is too hard sprinkle little water. add some oil and knead well.
3.keep aside for feww minutes.
4. Apply oil liberally to a kadai.( Banale) ( dont heat it ).
5.take a big ball of this dough and place it in the middle of the kadai and press it with ur palms .
6. spread it thinly all over the kadai .take care not to break it .
7.keep this kadai on the gas on high flame . with a fork make a hole in middle and pour a drop of oil.
8. close the lid and let it cook for few minutes. and then sim the gas.
9. The roti is done when it leaves the sides of the kadai . oil must be poured little by little on the sides while it is cooking.
This roti needs more oil to fry and it is cooked only on one side.
10. while taking it out of the kadai or banale , 1st loosen the sides , and then take it out . take care not to break .
