Bangude Phaanaupkari

Bangude Phaanaupkari  -  Rama Kini



Recipe:

Wash and clean the fish and cut into medium size pieces. For 1/2 kg fish....dry roast 1 tsp of coriander seeds and 1/4th tsp of methi seeds. Dry roast 10 to 12 byadagi chillies. Grind the roasted ingredients with 6 flakes garlic and 3 to 4tsps of tamarind paste. Fry one finely chopped onion in about 3 tbsps of coconut oil. When the onions start turning brown, add the ground paste and fry for a minute. Then add about 1/2 cup of water and salt and simmer. Then add the pieces of fish and simmer until the fish is well cooked. Turn the fish over gently and cook for a few minutes more. Adjust the amount of red chillies according to your spice level.
