Banana Halwa - Vinatha Pai Shenoy
Recipe
Take equal quantity of banana puree (well ripened nendra banana or Kerala bananas) and sugar...
In a heavy bottomed pan mix both and keep stirring...in between keep adding 2 tbsp of ghee...and when it reaches the halwa consistency spread it on a well greased thali...when cooled properly, cut them to pieces... But,you need a lot of patience and a bit of expertise to realise the halwa when it reaches the 'done' consistency,it cant be told online ,it can only be shown...for beginners,in a bowl of cold water put some halwa after a while take it out and try to make a ball out of it,if you feel that it has properly achieved the texture, then it is done,of not continue with the stirring...all the best.
