BHENDA KARATE TEPPAL GHALNU HUGGI - Anuradha Mudalagiri Kamath


Cut bitter gourd lengthwise, 1/2 lime size ball of jaggery, salt to taste and mix all and cook.Chop ladies fingers into long pieces and mix with the boiled bittergourd...the measurement should be 1/4 kg bittergourd, 1/2 kg ladyfingers and 3/4 coconut. Grind coconut, haldi, green chillies, tamarind coarsely. Add soaked tripal (teppal) and grind one or two rounds. Add just enough water that is used to rinse the mixer jar, no more. If turmeric leaf is available, add one, or else cook the veggies with the mixed ground masala. Drizzle coconut oil once it is done and yummy Huggi is ready to be served.
