2 cups Dosa Rice
1/4 cup thick beaten Rice ( poha)
4 cups sour butter milk
1/4 tsp cooking soda
2 tsp salt
ghee or oil to fry.
Wash the beaten rice separately . keep aside.
Wash the rice .
Soak both rice and beaten rice together in buttermilk for 10 to 12 hours .
Next day or if u soak in the morning ..U can grink it in the evening.
Grind the soaked ones to a fine batter. add salt.Batter must be like Surnali batter consistency.
Just before preparing dosas ...add a cooking soda and mix well.
Heat tawa. Grease it. Pour a ladle full of batter. dont spread. sprinkle oil on sides .
Cover with lid and sim the flame.after a minute open the lid.
The dosa must be cooked overall. Dont flip over.
Serve hot with Hing chutney .
This goes well with any non veg dishes.
My Method was I soaked the the ingredients in the morning. In the evening I ground it to a batter and transfered the contents in frigde. Early morning took it out and added the 1/4 tsp soda . Mix well. and then Spread dosas. This goes well with chicken curries.
