Masala Biscuits

Masala Biscuits - Asha Pai
Recipe:

¾ to 1 cup wheat flour, 1 tbsp jeera, 2 tbsp sugar powder, 1 tsp salt, a pinch of baking powder, ¼ cup or even lesser melted & cooled ghee, a little refrigerated milk to knead. Preheat oven to 180C. In a mixing bowl add flour, jeera, sugar powder, salt & baking powder and mix well. Add ghee little by little and mix to a crumb consistency. Now add 1 more tsp of ghee. (Do not add all the ghee at once) Now start adding cold milk and mix until you get a stiff dough. Keep the dough covered for a while. Roll the dough into 1/8 inch thick square, scour it with a fork to get ridges, cut into squares. (i made small balls and flattened it to a thin biscuit and made impressions with a fork) Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until done till the edges are brown. Can be eaten as it is or dipped in jam/chocolate/honey/sugar syrup.
