Beetroot & Potato Khadi
Beetroot & Potato Khadi - Rajashree Acharya KamatBoil the beetroot. Upon cooling, remove its outer peel & grate it. In a heavy bottom pan, add sugar 1:1 of the grated beet. Add 1/2 cup milk & heat it. When the sugar has completely melted, reduce the heat & add boiled & smashed potato (1/2 the qty ou the grated beet). Mix in properly & when the mixture forms a lump, add li'l cardomom pow. & 1 tblsp. ghee. Meanwhile keep greased thalis ready. Pour the mix. into these & pat it to form an even surface. Cut into pieceswhen moderately cool.
