Goda Ambade Upkari - Nisha Baliga Shenoy
Recipe:
A variety of Hog plums sweetish in Taste in used in making this curry
10 nos Hog plums ( Ambado)
1/2 tsp chilli pd
3 green chillies
Jaggery to taste
1 tsp urad dal
1 tsp mustard
1/2 tsp methi seeds
some curry leaves
oil
salt to taste.
wash and peel the hogplums.Cook them with little water till almost done.( If the hogplums r too big , cut into half)
Heat oil in pan, add mustard, urad dal, methi seeds and then curry leaves and green chillies.
Add the cooked Hogplums along with the water . add chilly pd and haldi pd.
Add jaggery to taste and salt to taste.
Let it cook for one boil.
Goda Ambade Upkari is ready. !
This is relished as side dish.
