Paneer Masala

Paneer Masala - Rethish G Prabhu

Recipe :
Chop Paneer, Onion, Shallots, Garlic, Ginger , Green chillies & Tomato lengthwise. Crush pepper coarsely. Heat coconut oil in clay vessel. Add mustard seeds, jeera, then add curry leaves. Add chopped shallots. Let it be translucent. Then add chopped onion. Let both be translucent. Add chopped garlic, ginger & chillies. Saute further. Then add chopped tomato. Let it cook on slow fire. Then add haldi pwd, kashmiri chilly pwd, coriander pwd, crushed pepper , salt and mix further. Add Paneer. Mix with light hands so that Paneer fingers don't break. Then add thick coconut milk. Heat and remove from flame. Serve hot with chapati, rice, Kerala porotta.
This was actually shown as made with prawns. I made with Paneer. Those using non veg can use boneless chicken, prawns, fish etc.
Adjust chillies n pepper as per spice requirement.
