Wheat Chicken Momos/Dimsums

Wheat Chicken Momos/Dimsums - Tanushree Aich


Recipe:
Ingredients for stuffing
Cooked minced chicken
Finely chopped ginger
Chopped onions
Chopped green chillies
Coriander leaves

For the dough(ive used wheat , all purpose flour or maida can be used as well)

2 cups Wheat flour
3 tbspns Oil
Salt
1/2 cup Warm milk

Procedure

Knead the wheat flour into a soft dough & keep aside for 30- 45 mins
Heat 2 tspns oil in a wok
Saute finely chopped onions, ginger & green chillies
Add the minced chicken
Cook for a while & garnish with chopped coriander
Keep the filling aside
Now make thin small rotis of the dough
Stuff them with a spoonful of the filling
Fold the roti to meet edges
Seal the edges with water & press it with a fork ( ready moulds available in the market may be used too)
Grease the dimsums with oil & place on a steamer or a rice cooker n steam for about 10-15 mins
You may use a pressure cooker too without the whistle
Wheat chicken dimsums are ready & taste best with tomato chilli ketchup

P.S : Vegetarians may use cabbage, cauliflower, carrot, beans, peas, paneer, mushrooms for the filling
