Mawa Peda - Nutan Shenoy-Kini
Ingredients :-
1/2 kg khoya /mawa
1 tsp cardamom pwd
1 tbsp crushed almonds/pistas
1 tsp semi-crushed cardamom
21/2 cups castor sugar.
Method :-
Grate mawa. Add sugar n mix well. Put the mixture in a nonstick pan on med flame for a minute or 2 and then on sim stirring continuously. Add cardamom pwd n mix well. Take off flame when the mixture becomes homogenous n leaves the sides of
the pan. Cool n shape into pedas garnishing wid almond / pistas n crushed cardamom.
You can also put them in moulds n gv them awesome shapes. First put lil cardamom crushed. Then the almond pistachio crushed. Press the mixture into the pre-greased mould n invert.
