Capsicum Bharta - Asha Pai
Recipe:
Apply a thin coating of oil to 3 medium capsicum and toast them on open flame till the skin is charred and the insides r cooked. it would be easier to toast if u pierce them with a fork and hold them directly over the flame. now keep them covered till it has cooled, this will make it easier to peel the charred skin. grind 1 and 1/2 cup of fresh coconut, 5 medium hot red chillies and a little bit of tamarind coarsely and remove to a bowl. to this, add 2 small onions and 1 small green chilly finely chopped. now remove the charred skin of the capsicum, and deseed them. chop the peeled capsicum finely and add to the masala. add salt to taste and a little lemon juice and mash everything together. adjust thickness by adding enough water. finally, drizzle some raw coconut oil and give it a quick stir.
