Tomato Urad Methi

Tomato Urad Methi - Rajashree Acharya Kamath
Recipe..

Prepare a tempering of li'l urad dal, li'l methi seeds & a pinch of hing.(That's why the curry is called urad-methi). Next,grind this along with grated coconut, roasted dry chillies, roasted coriander seeds (few), li'l turmeric & if required li'l tamarind (since tomatoes already r a bit sour). In a deep pan or kadhai, heat oil & prepare a tempering of mustard seeds & hing.Add tomato pieces (don't make them v.small) & fry.Then add water over it & let the tomatoes get cooked. After that add the ground masala & salt. Cook it for some time & remove from heat.
