Kooka Sagle

Kooka Sagle - Laxmi Bhandary

Ingredients: Half kg Chinese potato (kooka), 1 small cup coconut gratings, 7-8 roasted red chillies,half tsp fenugreek seeds, 2 tsps coriander seeds, small size tamarind, 6 tsps oil, 1 tsp mustard seeds, few curry leaves and salt to taste.


Method: Wash kooka. Boil and peel, and keep aside. Grind coconut gratings with roasted red chillies and tamarind. When masala is almost ready add roasted fenugreek and coriander seeds, and grind for 2 minutes. Masala should not be too fine.Add kooka and salt. Mix it well. Boil. Remove from flame. Season with mustard and curry leaves in oil
