Crispy Falafel And Hamus


Crispy Falafel And Hamus  -  Shobha Shenoy

Recipe:

1 cup chickpeas
1 large onion, chopped
2 cloves of garlic, chopped
few strings of fresh parsley, chopped
lil coriander leaves
lil spring onion leaves (optional)
1/2 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp cumin powder
1/2 tsp pepper pdr.
1 tsp whitel til (GINGELLY)
1 tsp of coarsely powdered coriander n cumin seeds
bread crumbs for binding ( optional)
Salt to taste
Oil for for fry

method
soak chickpeas overnight. 
next day Drain it
grind coarsely chickpeas, garlic, onion, n leaves.. in a dry mixi jar . remove fr the jar ,,,,add coarsely powdered spices ,, also add lil coriander n jeera powder and pepper pdr... white til n salt
if u want u can also ADD bread crumbs this is optional..( I DINT USE IT ).
mixwell n make a small ball or use falafel mould. fry untill golden n crispy
Serve hot with pita bread and tahini sauce or hamus

HAMUS.....1glass of chick peas soak overnight , next day drain it
put it into dry mixi jar.add 2 cloves garlic,2,3 tbsp. tahini sauce,and put very lil water just to run the mixer.make smooth paste ..add 1tbs lemon juice.remove n add 1 tbs olive oil.
