Peppery Mushroom - Shwetha Amit Pai
Recipe
Ingredients
Button mushrooms : 200gms
Onion : 1 medium (chopped)
Ginger : 1 inch piece
Garlic : 5-6 cloves
Green chillies : 4
Butter : 1tbsp
Pepper powder : As per taste
Soya sauce : 1tbsp
Chilli powder : 2tsp
Cornflour : 1tbsp (dissolved in water)
Salt to taste
Method
Make a paste of ginger-garlic-green chillies and keep aside.
In a non-stick pan, heat butter, add the onions and saute till translucent.
Add the ginger-garlic-green chillies paste and saute till fragrant.
Add mushrooms, salt, chilli powder, pepper powder and continue to saute for 5-6min, Add soya sauce and corn-flour and simmer for 2min till the sauce coats the mushroom pieces. Serve hot.
Suggestion : Crushed peppercorns gives a more clearer taste.
