Pepper Rasam


Pepper Rasam - Kiranmayi Kamath 

Recipe

Pepper - 1 measure
Jeera - 1 measure
Tuvar dal 1 measyre

Dry roast all ingredients separately and powder it to a fine powder.cool and store it in airtight bottle.

Method to prepare rasam:

Soak a small lemon sized ball of tamarind in warm water.

Take two big cups of water in a vessel, add salt to taste and two tsp of the rasam powder.mix well and let it boil.Add some chopped garlic flakes to this.Add the tamarind pulp to the rasam.It should be a little on the tangier side. Enjoy the piping hot rasam as it is just like a soup or you can eat it with piping hot rice and ghee. You can add lemon juice also if you do not like tamarind or if it is not available.
