Pepper Pulav

Pepper Pulav  -  Vidya Nayak Shenoy

Recipe:

Heat 2 tbsps oil
Add Jeera n Sounf
When they splutter add some curry leaves and 4-5 pepper corns they give a really good taste to the pulav.
Add sliced onions and saute till they are translucent. Add finely chopped tomato.
To this add 1 tbsp (tablespoon) coriander powder 1-1.5 tsp (teaspoon) pepper, 1/4 tsp turmeric, 1/4 tsp red chilli powder and salt to taste.
Be careful not to burn the masala
Add cauliflower, chopped potato, carrots, capscicum
At this point u can add just little water to avoid burning and close the pan till the veggies are cooked and the masala dries up.
Mix cooked rice made from 1.5 cups of cooked rice and serve with raita.
