Mushroom Rice - Shruthi Pai
Ingredients
Basmati Rice -1 cup
Button mushrooms - 1packet (chopped)
Onions - 2 (sliced)
Ginger-Garlic paste -2 tsp
Coriander leaves -handful
Thick Curd -1/4 cup (should not be sour)
Cinnamon -1 inch piece
Bay leaf -1
Cloves -3
Oil/ghee
Salt to taste
Heat ghee and add bay leaf , cloves and cinnamon. Add onions and saute till they turn pink. Add ginger-garlic past and saute for some more time. Add button mushroom &coriander leaves and fry for a few seconds. Add curd and saute for a few seconds. Now add 2 cups of water, needed salt, basmati rice and pressure cook.
Serve hot with any curry of your choice .
