Moong Dal Bread Uthappam - Deepika Shenoy

Here's the recipe:

For batter:
½ cup moong dal (soak for 15 mins)
8-10 bread slices
A pinch of Haldi powder
A pinch of Red Chilly powder
A pinch of hing
Salt to taste
For garnishing:
1 Medium Onion Chopped
2-3 Green Chillies Chopped
A small piece Ginger thinly sliced lengthwise
Coriander Leaves optional

Method:
Grind moongdal & bread slices by adding very little water. (Do not make it very smooth paste. Would taste gr8 if its ground lil coarsely..) It should be a little thicker than idli batter. Transfer this to a bowl. Add chilly powder, haldi powder,hing & salt & mix well.
Heat a tawa, pour a ladle of this batter on it. Do not spread.. Put chopped onion, green chilly & ginger on top & cover n cook on low flame. Toss it and cook the other side too. Serve hot.
