Makhoti


Makhoti - Nutan Shenoy Kini 


Recipe

3/4 ltr milk
3 tsp cornflour
water
1 big pich of saffron (ground in s pestle and mortar)
2/3 cup sugar (powderd)
20 pistachois (soaked and peeled)

Method :-

Boil milk, reduce half the quantity on medium flame.
Remove from fire. Mix cornflour with a little water to a smoooth cream.
Add saffron and stir well. Keep aside and cool.
When it is almost cool but stil warm, add sugar and stire to dissolve and mix.
Stire the mixture through a fine plastic sieve and put in a small individual earthenware or glass bowls or in ice crem cups, or champagne glasses.
Cool in refrigirator. Sprinkle crushed or sliced pistachios on top before serving
