Magge/Kuvvale Surnali - Sabitha Shenoy


Recipe:
Rice raw 2 cups, 1/2 cup coconut gratings, 1/2cup beaten rice, 1/2 magge (madras cucumber/Vallarta kayi) small size nearly 2cup pieces, grind all together. Keep it for fermenting. Next day add salt , pinch of sugar and a pinch of soda and prepare pancakes . Do not spread the batter.Cook one side or both the sides. If you like sweet surnaLi, add jaggery . Magge can be replaced with kuvaLe.pic shows one side roasted and both the sides roasted Surnalis.
