Kultache Pitla - Nutan Shenoy-Kini
Saute chopped onions and loads of chopped garlic in oil. Dilute kulith pwd in water to a thick concoction. Add Malwani Masala amchur pwd turmeric pwd n salt. Mix well. Once the onions n garlic are sauted to brown colour, add the kulith concoction. Keep stirring till it becomes a dryish paste. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves. Serve with onions n green chillies n lime with rotis or rice rotis. You can dilute this adding more water while making the concoction and put off flame after a good boil and serve hot with steamed rice. The consistency can be made as per individual choice. The thick one is pithla and the thin one is saar. Horsepower with horsegram. No coconut so cholestrol worries kept at bay
In case you dont get readymade kulith pwd just dry roast kulith cool n powder finely in mixer. Adding kokum to the saar while it starts boiling gives it a yum aroma but this step is optional.
