Capsicum Kairas

Capsicum Kairas - Rama Kini

Recipe:

6 to 8 bell peppers...chop in to big pieces, 1/2 cup peanuts..soak in a little water for sometime and pressure cook till done. Roast 2 tsps coriander seeds, 1/4 th tsp methi seeds, 2 to 3 red chillies, 2 tsps white til and 2 tbsp s coconut...all separately. Grind this to a smooth paste along with 2 tsps tamarind paste. Heat oil in a pan. add mustard seeds and after it splutters add a pinch of hing powder. Add the chopped capsicum pieces and stir fry for some time. Then add the boiled groundnuts, masala paste,salt and about a tsp of jaggery, and simmer for some time. Tasty kairas is ready to be served.
