Sesame Patties

Sesame Patties - Sunayana Gupta

INGREDIENTS
Potatoes boiled- 2 medium
French beans boiled- 1 cup
Carrot grated-1/2 cup
Cabbage finely chopped-1 cup
Coriander finely chopped-1/2 cup
Ginger grated-1tsp
Green chillies chopped- as per taste
White sesame seeds- 1/2 cup
Bread crumbs-1 cup
Garam masala-1/2 tsp
Red chilly powder- 1/2 tsp
Chaat masala- 1 tsp
salt- as per taste
Oil- for shallow frying
This is an instant recipe for serving guests.All you need is to boil vegetables beforehand and when the guests come ,go in the kitchen , make it ( which will take about 15-20 minutes) and come back with a plate of steaming hot patties.


Method-
Mash potatoes and mix all the veggies together.
Add bread crumbs, garam masala ,chaat masala,salt,chillies and make a dough.
Apply some oil on your palm and make patties of desired shape and size.
Roll these patties over sesame seeds and now shallow fry them in a deep pan. Serve with pudina chutney.
Sunayana's Tip-
Firstly check the mixture before shallow frying.This you can do by making a small ball of mixture and frying it . If it breaks it means mixture needs more binding agent. Add more bread crumbs to the mixture.
