Ragdo Special - Nutan Shenoy-Kini 


Recipe

Soak dry peas in water overnight. Pressure cook 3 whistles.Slice about 6 onions for 1/2 kg dry peas.Saute in oil, try translucent. Add 3 chopped tomatoes, cover n cook till mushy. Mash the tomatoes well. Add chilly pwd, turmeric pwd, garam masala, ground fennel seeds (about 21/2tsp) & mix well. (Add a few boiled peas when you pwd the saunf to add to the density of the ragda.) Mix well. Now add the cooked peas and mix well. Dont discard any surplus water from cooking peas. Add them with the peas. Add salt.Mix well. Cover n cook till done. Add lil sugar to taste (optional). Try it with hot hulks.
