Aloo Tikki Chole Chaat - Tanushree Aich
For the tikki
Mix Boiled & mashed potatoes, lightly roasted finely chopped onions, chopped green chillies, grated ginger, pinch chilly powder, roasted cumin powder, chopped coriander leaves & salt
Form small flattened palm size balls , coat with rice flour & shallow fry evenly on both sides on a greased tawa
For the chole
Soak chickpeas overnite & boil till cooked well. Reserve the chickpea liquid
In a wok, add finely chopped onions, when they r slightly browned, add in the grated ginger, slit green chillies, add spice pwdrs - turmeric, chilly, coriander, chole masala & amchur
Add in chopped tomatoes & cook till they get mushy n masala leaves oil
Add in the chickpeas, add the reserve liquid to adjust the consistency of the chole
Garnish with chopped coriander & ginger juliennes Assemble the chaat by placing the tikkis over a bowl of chole, add chopped onions, tomatoes, nylon sev(i havent added), chopped coriander & sprinkle some chaat masala
